The Strome College of Business is one of approximately 700 business schools in 48 countries and territories to have achieved accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate 学校 of Business (AACSB) and one of only 180 institutions to hold an additional specialized AACSB accreditation for their accounting programs. The Master of Public 政府 program is accredited by the National Association of 学校 of Public Affairs and 政府 (NASPAA).
In 2013, the Strome Family Foundation, headed by Mark Strome (ODU class of 1978), pledged $11 million to include establishing the Strome Entrepreneurial Center on campus to reinforce ODU's commitment to entrepreneurship. In 2014, the Board of 访问ors renamed the college as the Strome College of Business in Strome's honor.
